Cancer support therapy
We specialize in the management of symptoms that occur during and post cancer treatment such as chemotherapy, radiation and surgery. We use a highly developed formula of Bowen therapy and acupuncture. It is gentle and natural. This is so beneficial for the healing and recovery process. It is not necessary to just go through the cancer treatment and suffer the side effects. You can give your body the help it needs to get through it easily and feel strong, healthy and pain free.

Pain
There are various causes of cancer related pain but in all cases it is the nerves that are dys-regulated and sending a signal to the brain to say there is a problem there and then you experience pain as a result. Our treatment works on regulating the nerve system and this speeds up the body's natural healing process to recover from the cancer treatment.
Pain from a tumour- When a tumour presses on nerves, an organ or bone it causes pain. The location of the tumour will determine the severity of the pain. Usually the pain is more severe when when it is pressing on the nerves.
Pain post-chemotherapy or radiation- Pain is a side effect of these therapies. Often the immune system is compromised in people with cancer from undergoing chemotherapy or radiation and this makes pain more likely to occur.
Pain post-surgery- This pain is usually acute but short term.

Q- Are there any side effects?
A- There are no side effects from our therapy. The therapy has a regulatory effect to control the symptoms, not create more.
Q- Will this therapy interfere with my conventional medical treatment?
A- No. The therapy is to facilitate normality to your life during or after your cancer treatment.
Q- What does this therapy aim to achieve?
A- This therapy is in essence a natural approach to control the side effects of cancer treatment such as pain, nausea, headaches and fatigue by regulating the nerve system involved in the problem area using natural therapies including Bowen therapy, acupuncture and Naturopathy.
Q- How many treatments do I need?
A- Usually between 2 and 5 treatments to control neuropathy symptoms. Fatigue may take more treatments. We can determine what is needed for your specific case after evaluation.
Q- What is the cost of the treatments and are they covered by private health funds?
A- Each treatment costs $85 and we are registered with all private health funds. (note- NIB only includes Bowen therapy in their older policies)
